In the heart of Alentejo region, Alqueva Dam creates a lake of 250 square kilometers, the biggest artificial lake in Europe.
In one of its banks, a cork oak tree (quercus suber) is the perfect company to contemplate the magnificent sky, in the warm weather of summer nights.
In the sky, over the cork oak tree, we can see Sagittarius and Scorpius constellations.
Further above, the Scutum (a less bright constellation) and also part of the Ophiuchus constellation on the upper right side of the picture.
On the Milky Way, still on the Sagittarius constellation, we can see the shiny planet of Saturn.
